Hilton Grand Vacations Club Traveler Publications Win Seven Charlie Awards

Hilton Grand Vacations Inc. flagship magazine was recently awarded seven Charlie Awards from the Florida Magazine Association (FMA). The awards recognize outstanding achievements by Florida-based publications. This is the second consecutive year Club Traveler has been awarded Charlie Awards in FMA’s annual competition that crowns publishers, writers, editors, artists, photographers, printers, marketers and others as the best among their peers in scores of categories.

“Club Traveler’s recognition with seven Charlie Awards is rightfully earned,” said Stan Soroka, executive vice president and chief customer officer at Hilton Grand Vacations. “The publication’s innovative digital approach continuously provides engaging and aspirational content that successfully inspires our Club Members to dream, plan and go.”

Club Traveler qualified in the Consumer category for each award submission, competing against publications that have a circulation over 20,000. The magazine is currently distributed to HGV’s entire global Club Membership base. The HGV team collaborated with various highly skilled creatives on a few of the winning projects, including digital illustrator Saeko Ozaki, NYC-based photographer Ricky Rhodes, Antonella Bordone on behalf of The Economist Group creative studio and Hitandrun creative studio. “Club Traveler’s evolution from print-only to a digital format has allowed our content team to look for creative ways to interact with our readers and present information to them, and it’s wonderful to see that creativity rewarded in this year’s Charlie Awards,” said Raquel Filipek, senior director of corporate communications. “We are certainly enjoying the opportunity to explore the options digital publishing delivers for our readers. For instance, Club Members can now experience HGV destinations in an immersive format filled with videos, audio clips and interactive maps.”

Since 2012, Club Traveler’s mission has been to help Club Members achieve a “vacation state of mind” through inspiring travel stories, featuring HGV’s many destinations and resorts. The magazine includes a mix of travel articles, expert planning tips and educational content to help Club Members maximize their vacation ownership with HGV. This past June, Club Traveler was also awarded another prestigious industry award for its companion, online monthly newsletter, an American Resort Development Association (ARDA) Award, in the Newsletter category.
